I just got back from a 24 day snowboarding trip. It was sick man. Tit's deep snow, face shots and over 150,000 vt-ft hiked. I've used snow shoes for over 14 years now, this was my first splitboard / skinning experience. It
was 1/3 faster (float and glide) and 2/3's lighter on my backpack. It
was also a simpler movement, x-country skiing vs hiking, which left me
with more energy after the hike. The float and glide, coupled
with not carrying my board on my back, makes snowshoeing obsolete
forever.
I have 2 identical boards. Same size,
year and model. My splitboard is lighter due to the Spark bindings.
Even with the extra hardware and 2 edges; insane!

There is no
noticeable difference between their flex or feel. We got a good dump
overnight. So I brought her to the local hill for lift access hiking;
slack country styles. It warmed as the sun rose and lifts opened,
avalanche danger spiked. Couldn't hike that day so I rode my splitboard
in bounds all day. She rode and felt NO different. She was my board.
There were NO noticeable differences between them. Thank you Brian for
not changing my ride or the "feel" of my board at all. Your
craftsmanship
is so perfect and solid, that I could not even tell that you actually
cut my board in half. I rode the bumps, humps, pillows, kickers,
booters and even raced a skiier down and around. I layed her on edge at
60+ mph on the fresh groomed corduroy and had NO chatter or edge loss;
every movement I made transfered seamlessly to the snow. As for the
splitboarding, you have
enabled me with speed and endurance. Your
craftsmanship is superb. I wish I sent you a board years ago. Everyone
rides a factory board, I ride a customsplitboards.com. - Mitchell / Nelson, BC

I got my O'sin splitty from Brian last spring. My only regret is that I didn't know about DTM sooner. I've had a splitboard on my wish list for a few years, but until I found DTM I was never able to afford one. Thanks Brian, for bringing the price on powder down and for standing behind your product the way you have. - Trevor / New Zealand

I, like many backcountry snowboarders was fed up getting pummeled by my tele and rondonae friends in the backcountry. After a particulary grueling backcountry attempt on one of Colorado's fourteeners, I remembered for the last time why I had sworn to never use snowshoes again. That monday I got home and started looking for a split board. After I found Brian, my whole world changed. I was skinning again for the first time since I was ten years old and finally able to kiss all the park rats goodbye forever. Never will I go back to the area if I can help it, and now I can motor up any slope I choose in the Colorado backcountry! - Philip / Colorado

I had Brian split a board for me last spring and I
could not have asked for better service...the quality is amazing (fits together better then my Prior ever has). It's
nice to support folks that are in it for the love. - Dan / Utah

Brian is a true craftsman whose work speaks for itself. I couldn't
be happier with the overall quality, fit, and finish of the Never
Summer Summit that he built for me. I've acquired quite the quiver of
splits over the years but for two seasons now find myself only reaching
for my Summit on those deep pow days here in the Wasatch. I would
encourage anyone who's not stoked on having the same
soulless factory- built split as every other splitter on the mountain to
contact Brian. - Jason / Utah
